Our Mission
The mission of Project Graduation is to provide a safe environment for each graduating senior from the five area high schools (Northshore High, Pearl River High, Pope John Paul High, Salmen High and Slidell High). The graduates have the opportunity to create a memory of a lifetime at these all-night celebrations. The party includes free food, soft drinks, entertainment, games, prizes, and much more. Our motto is “If just one young life is saved, it is all worthwhile.”
This is a fantastic graduation party! The graduates have a blast and are safe.
NEWS for IMMEDIATE RELEASE PROJECT GRADUATION HAS UNDERGONE CHANGES - NOW HOSTING A PARTY FOR FIVE SCHOOLS IN ONE NIGHT OCTOBER 2, 2024
Slidell/Pearl River Project Graduation, Inc. is pleased to announce that this year they will be hosting one big celebration for the combined graduates of five participating schools: Slidell High, Northshore High, Salmen High, Pearl River High and Pope John Paul. The theme for this year’s party is: ‘Every End has a New Beginning’.
Under new leadership, Project Graduation has undergone a few changes. “Because of the tornado in April, we had to make changes to Project Graduation for the Class of 2024. Due to a decrease in registration numbers over the years and the fact that the combined party worked so well, the board decided to vote for one combined party moving forward.” Said Michelle Sartele, director of SPR Project Graduation.
Typically held at Fritchie Park gym, this year’s overnight event will now be hosted at the Harbor Center, in Slidell, to better accommodate all five schools. The event will include games, live entertainment, a motivational speaker, loads of prizes, gifts, and cash winnings to celebrate the graduating seniors of the Class of 2025.
Community volunteers are needed to host this large event on the night of April 26th through the early hours of the 27th. Interested parties should visit the organization’s website at www.sprprojectgraduation.com to learn more.
Project Graduation is a local non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote, improve and enhance alcohol- and drug-free alternatives that encourage positive choices by youth and promote parental and community awareness by means of an all-night alcohol- and drug-free celebration for the seniors of participating schools.
